The new Mai Tai Lapita Village on the island of Huahine has announced its official opening date of Monday, August 1.The Maitai Lapita Village is a new village resort which features 12 garden bungalows, five garden suites and 15 lake suites.
The bungalows and suites are designed and decorated in a traditional Polynesian style with modern amenities. The grounds of the resort include a small lake filled with lilies, a tropical beach with breathtaking views of the sunset over Raiatea Island and beautiful landscaped gardens. The resort also offers a restaurant, Polynesian bar, a swimming pool which looks out to the ocean and a library area which details the fascinating history of the island of Huahine including a range of interesting artefacts from its past.
Huahine will join Bora Bora and Rangiroa as part of the three star Maitai hotel group’s portfolio in French Polynesia, providing the brand further opportunities to offer combined island packages for their guests. Visitors to Tahiti and her islands will experience the Mana feeling of the region and its natural beauty.
While Bora Bora is known as the lover’s island with its romantic coves and views of Mount Otemanu, Rangiroa and Huahine offer world-class diving. The village is a five minute transfer from the airport and a ten minute walk to the small town of Fare, the cultural centre of Huahine.
Guests can also choose from two board options with the choice of all inclusive or breakfast only.
