New Haven park scheduled to open in Flamborough for 2016

Haven has announced the addition of a new holiday park, which will open in Flamborough, Yorkshire next year following a ?10million investment.

Thornwick Bay will be the company's 36th holiday park located on the UK coastline and will offer a range of facilities following a renovation of the existing site.

These include an indoor pool with a slide, a new adventure trail and a Lighthouse bar and restaurant.

The park is partially situated on Flamborough Cliff?s nature reserve, which is home to seabird colonies, including Kittiwakes and gannets, which nest on its chalk cliffs. As such, the location is ideal for uninterrupted sea views, sea fishing from the beach or spotting marine mammals. Bempton Cliffs is just along from Thornwick Bay and is also a popular location for rock pooling.

The company is also planning exciting, new outdoor activities and entertainment that will be exclusive to Thornwick Bay including a Nature Rockz programme which includes fossil casting and guided cave explorations.

Families can also enjoy guided boat tours by local fisherman or explore the surrounding area on a Segway. The park will also introduce a relaxed environment with entertainment in the form of musical street theatre for a 'Covent Garden' style feel, an outdoor cinema and stories around the campfire all aimed at offering families something a bit different.

Prices start from ?179 for the whole family, based on a family of up to six sharing a standard two-bedroom caravan for three nights, arriving on April 8.

Travel agent customers can save an exclusive extra 5% of this price, which already includes a 25% early booking offer.
