Sunvil Holidays and sister company GIC The Villa Collection have announced the introduction of a new airline for their Greece programme in summer 2013.

Chris Wright, operations director for Sunvil and MD of GIC The Villa Collection, said: “The new Germania flight is big news for Sunvil and GIC The Villa Collection.  Germania will bring that well-known and much-admired German efficiency to Gatwick from its base in Berlin - 2013 will see its debut in the UK market.

“Germania will base one of its fleet of aircraft at Gatwick for the entire summer season in order to fly our programme. Sunvil and GIC have contracted full catering (with hot meal service) plus a 20kg baggage allowance and pre-allocated seating. Basically, we’ve selected all the old-fashioned frills much-missed by customers and served them up on a modern 737-700 aircraft that’s run by a company well-versed in efficient management of charter programmes. We are delighted to be able to offer this excellent level of service to Sunvil and GIC passengers and we are sure that it will be well received by our clients.”

Flights to the islands of Corfu, Kefalonia, Skiathos and Crete will be offered, alongside services to lesser known island destinations such as Samos and Lemnos, plus mainland airports such as Preveza, Volos and Kalamata.
