New 2019 brochure launches from Emerald Waterways

Emerald Waterways has issued both its 2019 European River Cruises Preview Brochure and 2019 Southeast Asia Brochure, each showcasing a range of itineraries from across the globe.

On announcing the new brochures, David Winterton, the company's global brand curator, said: “Our fleet of seven revolutionary Star-Ships is one of the youngest on Europe’s waterways, with three innovative new Star-Ships launched last year, offering our guests modern luxury at an affordable price.

“This year is shaping up to be another eventful one for us as we continue to grow our destinations, and with more product launches on the horizon as the year goes on. In Europe, we’re excited to unveil two new eight-day Danube River itineraries for 2019, while in Asia we have added cruise and tour options along the Irrawaddy River.”

An eight-day Classic Danube river cruise: Nuremberg offers an insight into German military history on coach tours passing the Nazi rally grounds, the Justice Palace and the WWII Documentation Centre. Guests can sail the final stretch of the Main-Danube canal on their way to Regensburg and walk the cobblestone streets of Passau and view the Oberhaus Fortress from below.

Meanwhile, an eight-day Lower Danube Waltz river cruise navigates Vienna’s famous Ringstrasse by coach or as part of a guided bike tour and explores Budapest on a guided city tour and during a hike to Buda Hill. Guests will also enjoy a romantic Danube river cruise through Budapest.

In an expanded Asia programme, 2019 sees the operator once again sailing on the exclusively chartered Mekong Navigator, travelling along the Mekong River and new for 2019, guests can sail along the Irrawaddy River on the stylish Irrawaddy Explorer.

As part of the brochure launch, the company has also launched its EmeraldEXPLORER loyalty scheme, and to celebrate the brochure launches, 2019 river cruises are being offered at 2018 prices on all European river cruises, offering a guaranteed saving of £1,000 per couple, along with 250 euros per cabin to spend on board.

Prices start from £1,245 per person, including the saving, for the eight-day Secrets of Douro itinerary departing in November next year.
