Medina Palms has announced the launch of its new property on Watamu Beach, Kenya.

The property, which is set on seven acres of land with its own private beach area, is surrounded by the protected Watamu Marine National Park.

Accommodation is a choice of one- or two-bedroom suites, two-bedroom Penthouses or three-bedroom Ocean Lodges, the latter two of which feature private rooftop terraces with plunge pools. Alternatively, three- to five-bedroom Luxury Villas are available, which contain separate living areas, kitchens and rooftop terraces with plunge pools.

Facilities at the property include an ? la carte rooftop restaurant serving North African and Asian cuisine, a tapas bar and a tree-top lounge. The Sakina Ocean Spa meanwhile offers rooftop views and has four treatment rooms and an aqua room.

A range of activities are also available including scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing and deep sea sport fishing (tag and release), as well as a kite surfing school from the Tribe Watersports Centre. Sunset dhow cruises are also available, which are followed by seafood lunch barbecues, with dolphin spotting being a highlight between September and March. The beach experience can also be combined with a safari at Tsavo East National Park, where the Big Five roam.

Red Savannah is offering seven nights? breakfast accommodation at the property from ?1,880 per person, including flights, transfers, VAT and taxes. It is based on two sharing a one-bedroom apartment.
