Mallorca announced as the host destination for this year?s Future Travel Conference

The Spanish Tourist Office in London has announced Mallorca as the host destination for this year?s Future Travel Conference which will take place from October 20-22, 2009 in Magalluf- Palmanova.

Up to 250 agent delegates and managers are expected to attend.

This will be the third year the Future Travel Conference is hosted in Spain, with previous destinations being Costa de la Luz in 2007 and Costa del Sol in 2006.

Ignacio Vasallo, director of the Spanish Tourist Office said: ?The relationship between Spain and the UK travel industry is a key priority for the Spanish Tourist Office and we are delighted that Mallorca has been chosen as the venue for this year?s Future Travel Conference. We are thrilled to support the conference alongside the Balearic Islands Tourist Board and the council of Mallorca as proof of our commitment to the UK travel industry and the importance of its role in Spanish tourism. Figures since August 2008 show that Spain accounts for 22% of The Future Travel?s sales".

Homeworking organisation, Future Travel, is part of The Co-Operative Travel, the UK?s largest independently owned travel agency and buying group.
