Magnetic North Travel launches Game of Thrones suite packages

Game of Thrones fans looking to fill the gap before the epic comes to its final conclusion in 2019 can top up their addiction to all things Westeros on a holiday to Finnish Lapland’s Snow Village resort with Magnetic North Travel.

The tour operator has launched packages to the seasonal resort built from snow and ice and which is entirely Game of Thrones themed for the 2017-18 season.

The Snow Village has teamed up with HBO Nordic to offer visitors a live-sized Iron Throne, a White Walker complete with glowing blue eyes, an icy map of Westeros and a Braavosi Hall of Faces, as well as rooms and suites featuring Game of Thrones ice sculptures.

Stays in the ice rooms, where the temperature ranges from -2 to -5C, include the use of fleece-lined sleeping bags to guard against the cold, while guests are woken with a glass of warming hot berry juice before breakfast. Activities at the resort include reindeer or husky rides, snowmobile safaris and snowshoe hikes.

Three nights bed-and-breakfast, including one night in a Game of Thrones suite at Snow Village and two nights in a four-star hotel in nearby Levi is priced from £985 per person. This includes flights from Heathrow and transfers.
