lowcostbeds reports a year-on-year increase in long-haul bookings of more than 150% since the recent launch of its new long-haul portfolio.

The largest increase has been in areas such as Mexico, the Caribbean, Thailand and the US, with more than  200% growth in these areas.

The operator’s new version of its XML gateway is now being launched to the trade, which gives agents faster access to its full range of hotels online.

The company has responded to demand for more long-haul destinations by expanding its offering, with particular focus on the Caribbean, Far East and Australia, as well as increasing capacity in the US and Middle East.

Other new destinations include Kenya, Gambia, The Maldives, Mauritius and South America, with hotels sourced from international chains such as Centara, Hilton and the Barceló group.
