Les Mis?rables film set to spark theatre break demand for agents predicts superbreak

Superbreak is expecting to see a surge in bookings for its theatre breaks to see Les Mis?rables following the opening of the much-anticipated Les Mis?rables movie this weekend. The operator is urging agents to 'piggy back' on the media hype this film is generating and promote its short breaks to London with theatre tickets included. The film is an adaptation of the world?s longest running musical, which has been seen by more than 60 million people in 42 countries and has been a top 10 selling show for Superbreak for many years.

Graham Balmforth, national sales manager at Superbreak comments: ?Les Mis?rables the musical continues to break box-office records and the launch of the film will only fuel demand further. Agents have a real opportunity to ride on the back of this hype as I am absolutely certain that many of those who see the film will want to see the original musical in all its glory.?

?The run up to The Oscars on 24th February will keep the film high profile over the coming weeks so there is plenty of time for agents to build their sales.? We know that Les Mis?rables has a very loyal fan base and I?m sure that there will also be some customers who decide to head off to the theatre again as a result.?

Prices for a Les Mis?rables theatre break lead in at ?111pp for a one-night stay at the three star President hotel on a b/b basis and a top priced ticket to the show. Monday-Thursday until 30 April.
