This summer the National Space Centre has teamed up with LEGO to run a Big LEGO Building Challenge, a summer competition to build a whole galaxy from LEGO.
The event launches on July 13, with a day dedicated to competitions and fun, and weekly winners will receive a LEGO prize in a draw of all the creations, which will all be based on the imagination of the visitors.
Running throughout summer, the event will encourage children to build their ultimate galaxy, entirely from LEGO, whilst visiting the National Space Centre.
Visitors will also be able to use LEGO to make their own mini movies. Using stop motion image capture, the Centre’s YouTube channel will host the movies for all to view. On August 3, the LEGO team will join the National Space Centre Space Crew for a new range launch.
All full paying visitors will also be able to upgrade their day passes to a free Annual Pass at no extra cost.
