Launch of Amour aims to cater to romance travel

Worldwide Events, producers of travel trade shows including the Meeting & Incentive Forums and PRIVATE Luxury Forums, has unveiled its latest offering to the industry, Amour - a dedicated event to ?marry up? romance travel specialists and destination wedding planners with the world?s romantic experience providers.

Taking place from February 12-15, 2017 in Venice, Italy, the three-day event will provide hotels, resorts and wedding venues with the opportunity to meet with pre-selected romance travel buyers.

Attendees include 100 global buyers, consisting of destination wedding planners, honeymoon specialists and romance travel specialists; private travel designers, high-end travel agencies, lifestyle management specialists, concierge companies and tour operators.

Alongside this will be 100 global suppliers such as tourist boards and DMCs, plus a mix of both independent and well-known hotel, resort and venue brands, ensuring buyers have exclusive access to both big industry names and more boutique offerings.

Each event buyer is fully hosted including accommodation and flights and suppliers can also benefit from an all-inclusive package.

As part of the event, the organisers are also launching the inaugural Love Travel Awards ? the first trade awards exclusively recognising the most romantic hotels and venues around the world. A vote put to international travel professionals will determine who will take home the 20 accolades at the awards ceremony, to be held on February 13 during Amour.

Andy Price, the company's event director, said: ?There are so many reasons to travel for romance today, from honeymoons, anniversaries and vow renewals to babymoons and the simple need to share some alone time together experiencing something magical. But, although the romance travel industry is booming, there are currently very few ways for buyers and suppliers in the industry to connect with one another. To bring the industry together, we have created an annual event where genuine partnerships can be made.

?We?ve received very positive feedback so far with many of the world?s finest resorts such as Soneva Fushi, Maldives and Armani Dubai already signing up. We look forward to welcoming many more industry representatives on board over the coming months to enjoy Amour and generate those crucial business relationships.?
