Following popular demand and positive feedback from visitors, the complimentary winter experiences programme for hotel guests of the Larnaka region is back for a third year.

The programme was created by the Larnaka Tourism Board with the support of the CTO and other local authorities and companies, and offers an authentic and varied experience during the winter sun months - between November and April.

Monday offers a trip to Voroklini Lake, where visitors help to prepare traditional delicacies, enjoy a spot of bird watching and take part in a traditional basket weaving workshop. Tuesday is a day our at the unique Mazotos Camel Park and on Wednesday a professional guide will take visitors on a walking tour of the old town.

On Thursday a trip to Athienou village is arranged and gives participants the opportunity to see halloumi making and visit the Kallinikeio Museum and the Flour Mill, whilst there is a second guided tour in Larnaka city 'Skala Area' on Friday, to see traditional crafts at the local workshops. Saturday is a packed excursion to the three picturesque villages of Lefkara, Kato Drys and Skarinou, which have retained their traditional character and local ways from lace-making to bee-keeping.

Meanwhile, agents visiting the stand at this year's WTM - at EU1300 - have the chance to win a hamper full of Cypriot goodies.
