The 'high-tech' state of Karnataka is becoming one of Southern India's most sought-after destinations for UK visitors.

Aiming to raise its profile further, this year, Karnataka will host its own stand outside the India Pavillion for the first time at World Travel Market (AS095 in the Asian Hall).

Pyramid Holiday Tours in the Southern India state will be represented again at World Travel Market.  Their 'Deccan Dreams – Four States of Mind' programme offers a variety of specialist tours and tailor-made options across the state covering four different themes: temples and historic sites; nature wildlife & ecology; art, culture & history; and rest, rejuvenation & therapy.

Tours are by private coach with driver guides, lasting from 8 – 21 days. They includel rail journeys, coffee plantations, wildlife reserves, jungle lodges, historic palaces and traditional villages.

UK visitors travelling with Deccan Dreams can learn about the Tiger Conservation project undertaken by the Department of Forest and Environment in the State of Karnataka and other vital work too. Pyramid Tours offers a ‘hands on’ learning experience to nature enthusiasts with a choice of conservation activities in Karnataka’s Tiger Reserves, such as Nagarahole National Park where a number of  programmes are underway to preserve and protect this vulnerable species.

Karnataka is raising its profile and aiming to encourage more British visitors, confirms Pyramid Holiday Tours. With an almost undeveloped coastline between Goa and Kerala there is a lot to see and do in this vast and varied region: The Western Ghats Mountain Range; coffee & cardamom plantations; renowned wildlife reserves and national parks; ancient temples; the historic Royal palaces of Mysore; fascinating heritage and cultural sites; and welcoming and hospitable people. Bangalore is a major hub for international and domestic flights, as well as rail and road connections to the neighbouring states of Kerala, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Specialist UK tour operator Avion Holidays features Deccan Dream tours in its Eastern Shores brochure with tailor-made options too.
