Jet2holidays has announced a 'huge' rise in the number of passengers travelling over the late May bank holiday weekend this year.
More than 32,000 people will seek the sun and fly off to European beach destinations with the leading package holiday expert over the long weekend, a 28 per cent increase on last year’s figures.
Over a quarter of holidaymakers have chosen the guaranteed sunshine of the Balearic Islands to escape to, with the traditional favourites of Alicante and the Canary Islands continuing to be popular throughout May.
