As part of its largest summer programme to date, Jet2holidays has launched Halkidiki as a new destination for next year.

Spread across three peninsulas known as the ‘three fingers’, the region of Halkidiki is surrounded by the waters of the Aegean Sea and arguably offers some of the best scenery in Northern Greece.

Flights to the region commence in May and will operate weekly from East Midlands, Edinburgh and Leeds, with twice-weekly flights from Manchester.

For those seeking rest and relaxation, the operator recommends the Achtis Hotel in the resort of Afitos, complete with a lagoon-style swimming pool and set in six acres of landscaped ornamental gardens with fish ponds and leisure facilities.

A seven-night bed-and-breakfast stay at the boutique hotel, departing from Leeds Bradford on June 6, 2017, leads in at £699 per person based on two sharing including 22kg baggage allowance and transfers.
