To mark the busiest booking month of the year and to warm up this cold January, Jet2holidays has been bringing summer and a live scientific experiment to the regions.
With temperatures hitting a chilly 2⁰C this week, locals in Glasgow, Oldham and Nottingham got an early taste of summer to banish their winter blues by visiting the special Jet2holidays beach shack. Here they had their stress levels tested to reveal those most in need of a holiday and also relived the full holiday experience from feeling the sand beneath their toes, the heat on their face, and immersing themselves in the sounds and smells of summer.
Steve Lee, commercial director Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “For many of us, it’s already a long time since we felt the warming glow of a foreign escape, so we invited anyone in need of a pick me up to come and soak up a bit of summer at our special beach shack and take part in a unique ‘aura test’ to see just how stressed and in need of a holiday they were. As well as getting inspiration for their next sunshine break, sun seekers also had the chance to win some incredible prizes and take advantage of some exclusive ‘on the day deals’ available from their local airport.
“January represents the busiest booking time of the entire year for us – 45 per cent of all 2014 bookings have been made this month alone. Bookings have already increased by 35 per cent based on 2013 so we wanted to give our loyal local holidaymakers a taste of what’s to come, whilst reminding those still to book just how good our beach holidays make us feel.”
