Jet2.com and Jet2holidays reveal key trends in What?s Hot 2013 report

Jet2holidays and Jet2.com have released their annual travel trend report, revealing ?What?s Hot? for this year.? Combining research findings from more than 1,000 holidaymakers with customer data, the report offers an insight on where the hot destinations will be, how people are booking their holidays and also exposes how the UK is planning to use up precious annual leave this year.

Key findings include 87% of Brits opting to discover somewhere new, with Croatia and Greece firm favourites; all-inclusive trips see an increase of 10% on last year; more than half of the UK will consult their travel agent and browse brochures when deciding their next destination; 40% will be travelling more this year thanks to an improvement in their personal economic situation; and only one in three parents book holidays with free child places.
The companies' chief executive Steve Heapy said: ?With more than 40% more consumers determined to jet off this year, we?re predicting another exciting year for the travel industry. It?s encouraging that this increase is largely due to an improvement in family finances, though we?ve just had the second wettest year on record and with continued wet weather forcasts, it?s not suprising more of us are keen to escape to dry and warmer climes!

?Squeezing every last drop from our holidays remains a key priority as budget-concious families opt for the all-inclusive, package break, to keep a close eye on costs. Our holiday planner will also help time-strapped holidaymakers maximise their days away, fitting in two relaxing beach holidays and a city break, using just ten days leave, by choosing when to go wisely."
