It's a total eclipse for Royal Caribbean guests

The 'Great American Eclipse', 99 years in the making, is already booking up hotels across the country, and Royal Caribbean International is providing an ideal solution for thrill seekers to experience the once-in-a-lifetime event.

The cruise line will host a seven-night Caribbean sailing on Oasis of the Seas, which will cruise to the optimal spot at sea for guests to witness the total solar eclipse on Aug 21.

The line's president and CEO, Michael Bayley, said: ?We?re set to take vacationers on an unprecedented experience that is nearly a century in the making. A total solar eclipse hasn?t crossed the entire US since 1918, and with many of our ships sailing the Caribbean along the projected path, the stars aligned. Oasis of the Seas will have the vantage point of the century and an unforgettable celebration out at sea that adventurers won?t want to miss.?

The voyage sets sail on August 20 from Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida and visits the eastern Caribbean destinations of Phillipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Nassau, Bahamas.
