The Spanish Tourist Office, London has announced the Region of Valencia in Spain will be hosting the Institute of Travel & Tourism’s conference – ITT – from 6 June to 9 June 2010.
The annual event returns to Spain after three years, in 2007 it was hosted by Gran Canaria.
Taking place at the Barceló Asia Gardens, Benidorm in the province of Alicante, the conference is a UK travel and tourism trade event which attracts senior figures from the industry and provides networking opportunities for employees within the sector.
This year’s guest speakers and topics have yet to be confirmed.
The Chairman of the Institute of Travel and Tourism, Steven Freudmann, said: "I am delighted that the ITT is returning to Spain for its 2010 Conference. The region of Valencia has an extremely important part to play in the growth of our industry and we are pleased that we can offer our delegates the opportunity of seeing the enormous investment that is being made in the region."
Antonio Bernabe, general director of Tourspain, said: “We are pleased to be hosting this year’s ITT conference and look forward to welcoming all ITT delegates to Valencia and showcasing our extremely beautiful region which remains one of the most popular destinations for the UK visitor to Spain.”
ITT is the only professional membership body for individuals working within the travel and tourism industry and the organisation is dedicated to developing and maintaining standards for the benefit of its members and the travel sector which is today one of the largest industry sectors in the UK, employing over 120,000 people.
