A 300m rupee, sustainable tourism & golf development is underway in the Southern Indian state of Karnataka.

Located on the banks of the Kabini River, the Kabini Golf & Eco Tourism Development is planned to open in 2015 and will cover more than 300 acres. The project will offer an 18-hole international standard golf course, a golf academy, Ayurvedic Spa & Wellness Centre, watersports activities, birdwatching reserves and around 50 cottages and villas styled to blend in with the environment.

The development will be managed with strict adherence to responsible and sustainable tourism policies. At grass roots level, local communities are being actively encouraged and educated to participate in the project.

Accommodation at Kabini will be in villas sympathetically designed to blend in with the forest environment using eco-friendly materials sourced locally.

The Golf Academy will offer a range of professional golf lessons and courses to provide local residents with training opportunities for course management, caddying and stewardship.

The project is being marketed by Deccan Dreams - Four State Of Mind, specialist tours catering for four different holiday styles: temples and historic sites; nature wildlife & ecology; art, culture & history; and rest, rejuvenation & therapy lasting from eight to 21 days, by  Karnataka’s premier tour operataor, Pyramid Tours which are featured by Avion Holidays.
