Hurtigruten is offering single travellers the chance to sail its Transatlantic Voyage from Las Palmas to Buenos Aires without paying a supplement for travelling alone.

Expedition ship, MS Fram, will return from her winter season in Antarctica on March 12, ready to sail around Europe in the summer, before making her way back across the Atlantic once again on October 18.

The 17-day voyage leads in at £1,292 per person on a full board basis, excluding flights.
Meanwhile, the company reports that its Arctic Highlights Northern Lights charter programme from regional airports such Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast is 99% sold for the period January to March. All 25 departures of the short break itinerary travelling from Tromso to Kirkenes and back are now full and the operator is hoping to have winter 2013/14 on sale in the next week to ensure agents have this product to sell to capture demand.

Kathryn Beadle, the line's managing director, said: "To be 99% sold is phenomenal in today’s market and hugely encouraging. As a result of this unprecedented demand we are working tirelessly to bring out our new winter charter programme and I want to reassure agents that they will have itineraries to sell very soon. However there is still availability by utilising scheduled flights and agents are expertly switch selling their customers to this option.
“The recent publicity surrounding the Northern Lights has definitely moved the experience up the bucket list. It seems that the more people that get to experience this unique phenomenon the more interest there is from others to see it too.”
