p>Hurtigruten?s new Norway brochure for winter 2014/15 has launched with a focus on giving customers more ?authentic? experiences including snow cabins, a new whale safari and an astronomy tour.

Voyages start from ?811 per person for a six-day Classic Voyage South, departing in November or December, when travelling in an inside cabin on a full-board basis. Flights and transfers can be added for an additional cost.

For clients looking to visit the Snow Hotel in Kirkenes, there is now the choice of staying inside the hotel itself or in one of the new ?Gamme? snow-cabins. The wooden cabins are based at the hotel but offer contemporary style accommodation with en-suite facilities. Prices lead in at ?198 per person including dinner and breakfastm, based on two sharing.

Guests who want to get up close to whales can embark on an Arctic whale-watching voyage as they journey to a feeding ground off the coast of Troms county. The trip is available in November and December and costs from ?159 per person.

Meanwhile, an extra Astronomy Voyage has been laid on following strong demand, with six dates now available during winter. The 12-day voyages are accompanied by either Dr John Mason, principal lecturer at the South Downs Planetarium or Ian Ridpath, a full-time writer and broadcaster on astronomy. Both offer a series of lectures and a guided tour of the night sky from the deck of the ship. Prices start from ?1,666 for the Astronomy Voyage departing on November 20 from London with transfers, and based on two sharing an inside cabin.

More regional charter flights, additional regional departure airports and a new eight-day Arctic Explorer itinerary, which was recently introduced into the preview brochure, have also been included in the brochure for the first time.
