Inntravel, which offers a selection of self-guided short walking breaks in the UK, has launched a new Holy Island & The Northumberland Coast trip, which is available from April 1 to October 31.
Guests on the self-guided hotel-to-hotel walking break can discover the peace and tranquillity of rural Northumberland, taking in unspoiled coastlines.
Rural and coastal routes take in the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, St Cuthbert’s Way, Bamburgh Castle and the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.
There is also the chance to take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to spot seals, migratory puffins and other seabirds up close.
Guests stay in two guesthouses - one adjacent to St Cuthbert’s Way footpath with coastal views across to Holy Island in Beal and a stay in a converted chapel in Seahouses.
Prices lead in at £280 per person based on two sharing and include four nights' bed-and-breakfast accommodation, one picnic, luggage transfers between hotels and walking maps and notes.
