Holidays By Rail has expanded its North American product with the addition of five new rail-cruise holidays across the US and Canada, bringing the number of land and sea combination trips offered by the company to more than 30.
In Canada, a new 16-day Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska by Land and Sea holidays pairs a scenic all-daylight rail journey through the Canadian Rockies on the Rocky Mountaineer with a city stay in Vancouver, a seven-day cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage and touring in Denali National Park and Fairbanks. The dual-country itinerary departs on May 21, June 18, July 16 and August 13 and 27. Prices lead in at £2,147 per person, land-only, based on double occupancy plus port taxes.
In the US, travellers can select from four new itineraries. As an example, a 15-day Empire Builder, Glacier & Alaska Cruise showcases the Pacific Northwest by rail on the Empire Builder train, which travels from Chicago to Seattle. Guests will visit one of America’s Glacier National Parks as well as Seattle, where travellers meet their cruise ship for a seven-night sailing through Alaska’s Inside Passage. Departures are available on June 8 and 29 and August 3, and prices lead in at £2,063 land-only.
