Peter Sommer Travels has introduced five new itineraries for next year, including new tours in Turkey and Greece, a new gulet cruise and a new take on the company’s Alexander the Great tours.
A seven-night Lycian Way walking tour in Turkey leads in at £2,065 per person, featuring gulet cruising and archaeological visits. Daily five- to six-mile walks include a picnic lunch on most days, while a gulet is always present offshore to provide dining facilities and accommodation, as well as offering respite for those who wish to take a day off from walking.
Guests will visit remote archaeological sites on foot, such as the ruins of Sidyma – a 2,500-year-old Lycian town – and the ghost town of Kaya. The tour also retraces the route of a Roman aqueduct and crosses ancient burial grounds leading to an Ottoman castle, departing on October 5, 2013.
Other itineraries include a seven-night Greek Isles and Turkish Shores tour from £2,250 per person; an 11-night Crete tour starting from £2,735 per person; and a condensed ten-night Alexander the Great tour in Greece from £2,670 per person. A ten-night Alexander the Great tour is also available in Turkey, leading in at £2,650 per person.
Prices are based on two sharing and include transfers, breakfast accommodation, most meals, all entrance fees and guides. Flights are excluded.
