January and February 2012 both saw a double digit growth in sales on the same periods in 2011. Key to this was the introduction of a simplified commission structure on flight and accommodation packages; affiliates can now earn up to 6% when packaging flights and accommodation on the Website.
The company also reports that its success was also driven by consolidating on existing agency partnerships, as well as an increase in the number of affiliates: more than 400 agencies started using TAAP in the last 12 months, 60 in 2012 alone.
The Expedia TAAP sales team will be in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool over the next month for agents to meet.
