The Global Travel Group has reported double digit growth for overall sales across its contingent of independent travel agents last month and noted that forward bookings for 2018 are up by 18% year on year.
Top performing destinations for 2017 so far include Spain with bookings up by 90% year on year, including the Balearics and Canary Islands, followed by Italy and a UK staycation seeing a 20% and 15% growth in sales respectively.
Further afield bookings to Mauritius and the Indian Ocean are up by more than 100% with the UAE securing 15% growth year on year to date.
