G Adventures launches new sailing trips to Montenegro & Indonesia

G Adventures has announced a ?first-of-its-kind? sailing trip around the Montenegrin coastline, as well as a new sailing trip in Indonesia; starting on Bali before sailing through the Gili Islands.

The two new trips bring the number of sailing destinations offered by the operator to seven, with Montenegro and Indonesia joining the British Virgin Islands, Croatia, Cuba, Greece and Thailand in the sailing portfolio.

The operator's global sailing manager, Vince Donnelly, said: "A sailing trip is a great holiday option for travellers looking to do as much or as little as they like. Some travellers are keen to learn the ?ins and outs? of sailing from our team of experienced skippers, whereas others are happy to relax and watch the world go by, before arriving to their next port of call or barely inhabited island. ?While we sell a set itinerary, it?s up to the skipper and the group if they fancy taking a detour to a special island off the beaten track for a picnic on the beach, which is what makes our sailing tours so popular.?

The new boat in Montenegro takes eight travellers and is led by a dedicated skipper and a CEO (chief experience officer) who offers local knowledge and insight.

The larger catamaran in Indonesia carries 12 travellers, a skipper, CEO, and also has a cook to whip up locally-flavoured dishes on board.

An eight-day Montenegro Sailing trip, starting and ending in Dubrovnik, costs from ?869 per person. Travellers will take in the Balkan landscapes as they move south along the Dalmatian coast, checking out an ancient fishing village, UNESCO World Heritage site and beaches for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. Those looking to dance should save some energy for Budva, which is known as the regional capital of nightlife. The itinerary departs weekly from May 27 to August 19.

Alternatively, a seven-day Sailing Indonesia trip, starting and ending in Bali, costs from ?1,099 and visits the coastlines of Bali and Lombok enjoying the vistas from the deck of a catamaran. The sailing adventure introduces travellers to the Gili Islands in a weeklong immersion of snorkelling excursions, kayaking tours, beachfront bars and yoga sessions. It departs weekly from July 9 to November 19.
