G Adventures announces 2022 Arctic Expedition dates

After observing an increase in demand for Norwegian and an Arctic Expeditions, G Adventures has launched a 22-day Norwegian Fjords and Realm of the Polar Bear tour aboard G Expedition, with trips available between May and September 2022

Bookings are now open.The 12 new departures will start from Edinburgh and allow travellers to explore the Norwegian Fjords and the Arctic regions of Svalbard, Spitsbergen and Longyearbyen.

?The early release of our 2022 Arctic and Norway Expedition programme allows us to offer the availability and flexibility which our travellers require. With the prices remaining the same as our 2021 programme, the new trips will offer those looking to rebook Expedition tours, an additional option in departure dates and cabin styles. To give travellers the confidence to book, we have included the Expedition departures in our Book with Confidence policy, which allows them more flexibility, when it comes to rebooking times, if they want to delay their trip,? said Brian Young, managing director of G Adventures.

Cruise the Norwegian Fjords-Troms? to Edinburgh - This 13-day trip will have travellers exploring the Norwegian coastline along the Scottish Isles, and visiting the UNESCO World Heritage sites, fishing villages and breathtaking fjords, as well as experiencing glaciers, local cuisine and Norway's rich cultural heritage. Hikers can opt to explore the Geiranger fjord, which offers spectacular views, and those looking to explore cultural artefacts can visit folk museums and the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim. Realm of the Polar Bear- Longyearbyen to Longyearbyen- As a part of the Jane Goodall Collection, this eight-day Arctic tour allows travellers to explore icebergs, glaciers and hard-to-spot wildlife. Visitors can explore on foot or on zodiacs and spot seals, reindeers and colonies of birds and sometimes polar bears. Arctic Highlights- This two-week expedition from Longyearbyen to Reykjavik, will offer a variety of sights, starting with the landscapes and compelling history of the Northwest Spitsbergen National Park, to the Greenland Sea, which is home to minke whales, orcas and humpbacks. Visitors can explore the vast fjord system in Northeast Greenland National Park, and the tiny settlement of Ittoqqortoormiit, where a remote community lives. There will be daily lectures on board with travel experts and specialists, which will cover everything, starting from bird watching to marine biology, to educate travellers about the natural habitats of the Arctic and the various species living there.
