New for 2009, Esprit Holidays is offering free child places on all departure dates on its Santa’s Lapland holidays for children aged 2-5 years, and reductions for older children of up to 75% off the adult price.
MD Andy Perrin claims the savings as: “the most generous child reductions anywhere for Santa’s Lapland holidays.”
A further innovation this year is the new ‘Grandparents’ Bonus’, offering £25 off each grandparent travelling as part of an extended family group.
The operator says it guarantees a private family meeting with Santa Claus and longer husky-sledding and reindeer sleigh rides than most other operators. They also include all outer thermal clothing and a wide range of ‘Snow Fun’ activities in the holiday price, with breaks of three and four days duration to the Lapp resorts of Saariselkä and Rovaniemi, with direct flights from Manchester and Gatwick.
Perrin said: “There is simply no substitute for the genuine charm and mystery which a Santa’s Lapland winter wonderland holiday wraps around the whole Christmas experience. This is literally the ‘trip of a lifetime’ for many families. A one-off chance to do something they will talk about for ever, and we believe passionately in our responsibility to make it magical and memorable for every family that entrusts us with their children’s dreams.”
Prices this season start from £659 per adult, one child 5 or under traveling free and a second child half price, making a total of £1647 for a family of four spending two nights at the Ski Hotel in Rovaniemi, traveling on the 3rd December, including flights, transfers, breakfast and activities that include a private family snowmobile sleigh safari to find Santa, gifts for children under 12, a husky sled ride and reindeer sleigh ride.
A family of three pays £1318 for a two night stay at the Hotel Kieppi in Saariselkä on 2nd December, with adult prices of £659 and a free place for a child aged 2 – 5 years.
