Fred.\ River Cruises has launched a stand-alone brochure dedicated to the deluxe MS Mozart river cruise ship which operates on the River Danube.

The brochure is out now for agents to request and the operator is looking to work with the trade on the product, as well as planning a forthcoming agent fam trip for later this year.

The company's sales executive Paula Jackson said: "River cruising is very much a growing market, and we’ve recognised there’s high demand amongst agents who are very excited that we’re behind this product and are pleased to be welcoming it back to the UK market. Having had a full refurbishment in 2010, the vessel is well known to the UK trade already as it was previously operated by tour operator Peter Deilmann."

Selling points of the MS Mozart are that it has cabins for one, two or three people, including some with French balconies. Standard cabins each have a 20sq.m footprint, while the ship's facilities include a heated swimming pool with spa, as well as an ocean-style atrium and lobby. Certain cabins are also equipped for people who require kidney dialysis.

Two choices of itineraries  are available, an eight day “Royal Danube” and 15-day “Iron Gates  & Danube Delta Cruise”, with a total of 22 departures between now and November.

Prices for the Royal Danube cruise, which includes visits to Passau, Krems, Esztergom/Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Melk, start from £1,099 per person. It includes seven nights’ accommodation in an inside cabin on a cruise -only basis, including breakfast, four-course lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and midnight snacks. The itinerary also includes shore excursions such as a visit to Göttweig Abbey, a guided walking tour of Dürnstein, wine-tasting and city tours of Budapest, Bratislava Vienna.
