Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced that it has introduced a fuel supplement, due to the current high price of Brent crude oil. The supplement will be £3 per person per cruise night, to a maximum of £60 per person and £1.50 per person per cruise night for third and subsequent occupants of a cabin, to a maximum of £30 per person. The charges apply to all bookings made on departures featured in the company's 2010/11 Worldwide brochure and the 2011 Preview brochure. The operator also announced that, should the price of Brent crude oil fall back to £45 per barrel or below, averaged across the month prior to date of departure, the fuel supplement will be refunded to the passenger in the form of onboard spending credit. Agents should note that the supplement is non-commissionable. For more information call 01473-746164.
