Explore has launched a new holiday brand called edge, which caters for the 18-30 adventure travel market. A total of 75 small-group trips are featured, offering flexible itineraries in more than 40 countries, available for sale through the trade.

Tour durations range from four to 82 days and customers can choose whether to explore a specific place, region or whole continent. The trips are run by a group leader and free time is also built into the itineraries for independent exploration.

As examples, for guests who can only spare a long weekend but are looking for an adventure, a four-day Iceland Weekend offers the opportunity to experience Iceland’s glaciers on snowmobiles, ride giant superjeeps into the wild or horse-ride across lava landscapes. With time factored in for sightseeing and a visit to the Blue Lagoon, the tour also provides the chance to spot the Northern Lights during the winter months.
Year-round departures are available and prices lead in at £279 per person, which includes breakfast accommodation, transport and the services of a group leader.

A 15-day Cuba Adventure incorporates music, mojitos and revolution, taking in highlights such as Trinidad, Vinales, Camaguey, Santiago de Cuba and Havana. The trip also includes some down-time on the beaches of the island of Cayo Levisa, as well as a trek in the Escambray Mountains. With departures from June to December, prices lead in at £799 per person including breakfast accommodation, six other meals, transport, a group leader and local guides. Flights are excluded but can be arranged if required.
