JA Resorts & Hotels has announced that it is planning to boost its portfolio of luxury properties globally on a strategic, owner-friendly basis while focusing on casual luxury, heartfelt hospitality and flawless service levels.

The hotel group currently manages a portfolio of luxury hotels in Dubai and the Indian Ocean, including the five-star JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort (JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel and JA Palm Tree Court), Hatta Fort Hotel mountain retreat, JA Oasis Beach Tower apartments, the cruise vessel Bateaux Dubai and Al Sahra Desert Resort.

Plans for new developments include new properties in Phuket, Sri Lanka, Germany and the UK.

In Sri Lanka the five-star JA Eclipse Beach Resort is scheduled to open in November 2017 and will offer 108 units as well as one- and two-bedroom villas. The company is also actively involved in community-based projects and it is currently involved in charity fund-raising activities which will go towards building a school in the destination

David Thomson, the company's chief operating officer, said: "The UK market is an important one for us and currently has about a 30% share for our Dubai properties. Our key target market is families and, alongside the numerous clubs and activities that we offer, we also also promoting our creche services.

"We are encouraging agents to highlight our great value for money concept as well as our whole guest experience, as this is what defines us. The fact that we are seeing about 40% repeat business from the UK shows that our guests appreciate the service that they receive when they stay with us. By offering additional value-for-money incentives such as resort credit and tailor-made packages such as twin-centre breaks, it also means that we continue to remain popular."

Tour operator partners of the hotel group include Thomas Cook, Kuoni, Destinology, Hayes and Jarvis and If Only....out of Scotland, as well as more specialist operators such as Tropical Sky and Gold Medal.

Meanwhile, the company plans to debut in the UK and is currently in negotiations to launch in three areas - Scotland, Devon and Kent. In terms of working with agents, the company is encouraging agents to get in touch to learn more about fam trip opportunities, and will also look to launch a new training portal which agents will be able to access to help boost their product knowledge.
