Solocal Group is inviting agents to attend a morning session conference entitled 'How to drive online traffic to your local stores'.

Eight different speakers from Solocal Group, Local Data Company, IMRG and Local Social Labs will be discussing the next trends of bricks and clicks and how these multichannel strategies impact retailers, and the conference will be followed by a lunch and networking session.

The company says that almost 90% of UK retail purchases still take place in physical stores: unlike what some predicted, online commerce has not signed the death warrant of shops and stores. What is changing however is that those stores are increasingly learning how to leverage the web to drive in-store sales, from providing information (store locators, product locators), to preparing the sale by allowing web users to book a product or an appointment.
