The Management Board of Estonian Air has made the decision to cease operations as of yesterday followed by a decision of the European Commission according to which Estonian Air has received State aid which is incompatible with the internal market and must be paid back.

Estonian Air ticket holders are kindly asked to go to or call Tallinn Airport on +372 605 8888 for additional flight-related information.

The carrier's CEO, Jan Palmér, said: "We are extremely honoured to have made a valuable contribution in development of Estonian tourism and economy over the last 24 years, and I would like to thank all employees, customers and partners for making it happen. Nevertheless, the European competition authorities deemed our state aid violating the rules."
