In line with its aggressive expansion plan, Dusit International has announced a new resort to its growing dusitD2 brand, the dusitD2 Phuket Resort in Thailand.

Located close to the island’s popular Patong Beach and within walking distance from the Jungceylon shopping and leisure complex, the hotel offers 390 guestrooms and suites and a range of entertainment outlets including a Hard Rock Café.

The property, which is scheduled for an April rebranding date, is also developing a scenic rooftop bar and a spa with nine treatment rooms.

The company's group director of development, Rustom Vickers, said: “With eight dusitD2 hotels in the pipeline, from California to Nairobi, this year will certainly see a spotlight on the dusitD2 brand. We eagerly look forward to the Phuket Resort being the first of these hotels to open this year, and we are confident that its location on the island and comprehensive selection of attractions will make it a great success.”
