The River Cruise Line has released its latest brochure for departures in 2016, offering five new itineraries to Holland, the Rhine, Belgium and Bavaria.
A highlight of the new programme is the ‘Captain’s Choice’ tour, which has been hand-picked by Captain Wido Arts, marking 15 years of service on MPS Lady Anne.
The tour cruises through his home country of Holland, and takes visitors beyond the clichés of Tulips, clogs and windmills to some of the less travelled parts of the country. Priced from £739 per person, the eight-day itinerary departs in June 2016 from Nijmegen, on the banks of the River Waal, and cruises to Roermond in the Dutch Lake District, where guests can explore the town or join an optional excursion to visit the historic city of Maastricht.
As the tour progresses, there will be the opportunity to visit the 17th century Arcen Castle; the star shaped walls of Heusden; Doredrecht, whose 18th and 19th century buildings are strung along a series of canals and harbours; before finishing in Rotterdam.
The new brochure offers a total of 31 itineraries to 16 countries throughout Europe as well as a choice of festive cruises for Christmas 2015.
The company also now operates a ‘no discounting’ promise and its price guarantee sees rates fixed at 2015 levels for departures in 2016. All prices are based on two adults sharing and en-suite cabin on a full board basis, including return travel from the UK; coach travel to join the cruise; and the services of a cruise manager and director throughout.
