Cosmos Tours has broadened its worldwide programme to include a range of private tours, offering a more flexible and independent style of touring holiday in worldwide destinations.

Available on a number of existing and popular escorted tour itineraries, the private tours provide a more intimate and personalised ‘once in a lifetime adventure’ with a personally chauffeured air-conditioned vehicle to suit the individual party size.

With a private guide/driver, customers have the flexibility to choose the pace that suits them best. Without the need to keep up with a group, more time can be spent at an attraction which has particular interest, or bypass it to spend more time at another which holds more appeal.

Private tour customers can also enjoy personalised hotel check-in, separate dining, private transfers as well as a broader choice of UK departure dates.

The choice of 14 private tours is available in Asia, Eastern Africa, India and Indonesia, and will include the same highlights and often unique points of interest as a classic tour. The selection includes the operator's 11 day ‘A China Experience’ (from £2,435 per person), 15-day ‘Thailand Experience’ (from £1,999) and the ten-day ‘India’s Golden Triangle and Tigers of Ranthambore’ (from £1,419).

Rob Goodwin, the company's head of product, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a new style of touring which is backed up with our expertise and network of worldwide offices. We can now offer our customers the flexibility of travelling at their own pace with an expert guide to show them the best that a destination has to offer, combined with all the financial benefits of booking a package with us.

“We believe that our new private tours will have a broad appeal, ranging from existing customers to those who are new to touring, as well as varying age groups, including younger travellers and honeymooners. In the future, we are looking to provide family rooms so that we can help to create incredible holiday experiences for the whole family.”
