Contiki unlocks magic of India with new itinerary

Heralding the brand?s first return to the region for 40 years, Contiki has launched a new ?Eternal India? trip that takes young explorers on a journey through Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, Mumbai and Goa, immersing them in the magic of India.

With initial departure dates running from December through to April 2017, the adventure takes place over 12 days, following the operator?s more culturally curious ?In-Depth Explorer? travel style.

Excursions to major heritage sites, a special stay in Ranthambhore National Park, and a trip to the Taj Mahal are all included, alongside optional ?ME Time? activities such as a sunrise safari in Ranthambhore National Park, a cooking demonstration and local family supper in Jaipur, a Bollywood tour in Mumbai, a tour of Mumbai at dawn, and a Yoga class on the beach in Goa. The trip also includes two internal flights to maximise time in each location.

Donna Jeavons, the operator?s sales and marketing director for UK & Europe, said: ?Recently we?ve seen a sharp rise in the demand for more authentic, out of comfort-zone travel experiences that give young people a sense of adventure and make them feel far from home. In direct response to this demand, we?ve created a new India trip which really encapsulates this style of travelling, but also offers the best food, accommodation, transportation and authentic experiences which is considered the ?essentials? by our savvy young travellers.?

Trips commence from December 4 with prices from ?1,339 per person which includes 11 nights twin-share hotel accommodation, 11 breakfasts, one lunch and one dinner, entry into four UNESCO World Heritage Sites and two internal flights (from Udaipur to Mumbai and Mumbai to Goa), an experienced trip manager and driver team, modern, air-conditioned coach transportation and sightseeing tours of all major cities.
