Contiki expands Latin America offering to Belize, Colombia and Guatemala

Contiki has launched its 2015/16 Latin America brochure featuring three new destinations with a focus on local experiences and overnight stays.

The operator has expanded its latest brochure to include 21 itineraries and introduce Belize, Guatemala and Colombia as new destinations for 2015.

Added to the brand?s line-up of Latin America itineraries are seven new trips that feature the three destinations, including a 14-day Central Trail; a 25-day Mexico, Guatemala and Belize; and an 11-day Hola Colombia.

The company's global brand director, Alastair Campbell, said: ?We have seen amazing success since our launch into Latin America in 2011 and we continue to experience incredible demand which has required us to increase departures into Costa Rica by 40% and Mexico by 70% alone this coming year.

?As we venture into these three exciting new destinations and continue to expand our existing product, it?s important to us that our travellers are able to make every moment count on our trips. We know our audience is looking for a travel experience curated for the young traveller with a focus on spending more time in the destinations we visit and less time getting from A to B.?

The operator's focus continues to be on providing authentic travel experiences and supporting local communities. With an exclusive Backstage Pass to all things Latin America, travellers can expect to stay in independent hotels, eat at family restaurants and interact with locals in the many places they visit.

As an example of prices, a 14-day Central Trail itinerary costs from ?2,199 per person and includes one internal flight, transport in a private air-conditioned coach, hotel accommodation, a special stay at a Jungle lodge in Guatemala, 20 meals, the services of a crew, sightseeing and exclusive inclusions such as a sunset boat cruise, a visit to a Mayan community among the volcanoes of Lake Atitlan and a visit to a sacred highland temple in Chiapas.
