Compagnie du Ponant has launched a 64-page brochure dedicated to its new Asian itineraries for the winter season 2013/14.

For the first time, Le Soléal (132 staterooms and suites), the latest addition to the fleet launching on July 1, will be sailing for Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives.

During the cruise guests can discover Asia in a more intimate way, mooring as close as possible to the shore to offer easy access to protected sites. Guests on board will include experts, historians and lecturers ready to share their passion with the passengers.

As an example of prices, a ten-night sailing, including flights, departs on October 5 and leads in at £3,969 per person. Departing from Petropavlovsk in Russia’s Far East, Le Soléal sails to Japan via the Kuril Islands.

Alternatively, a Hong Kong – Singapore cruise takes in the most important sites and landscapes of Vietnam, with excursions including a junk boat trip to Ha Long Bay, the discovery of Hanoi, Saigon and the Imperial City of Hue, or sailing down the Cai River.

Pre and post cruise excursions are on offer for those who want to explore Hong Kong and Singapore. Departing on October 30, prices lead in at £3,298 per person for 11 nights.
