Collette, in conjunction with The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), has launched its new 2015/16 Garden Tours brochure which brings together nine floral destinations from around the world, incorporating the best gardens from the USA to New Zealand.

Each of the speciality tours offer guided tours from a local horticultural expert and a collection of the world’s most iconic gardens and natural heritage sites. Examples include the Antonio Borges Botanical Gardens in Portugal, the Harold Porter Botanical Garden in South Africa and the Remarkable Mountains in New Zealand, where much of the filming for The Lord of the Rings movies took place.

The tours allow travellers to visit some destinations in ways that are usually ‘off-limits’ to the general public, including a private guided tour of Chateau de Courances, a family owned chateau near to Paris with extensive gardens and the opportunity to partake in the 22nd annual International Garden Festival at Chateau de Chaumont-sur-Loire.

Prices start from £1,589 per person for the Andalucía: Land of Castles, Palaces and Gardens tour, which journeys through the Spanish landscape, incorporating many well-known gardens along the way. There is reserved seating at a flamenco performance, as well as the chance to visit three UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the famous Cathedral of Seville. Included are visits to some of Andalucia’s best known gardens, such as Spain’s famous Generalife Gardens, where guests will be joined by a specialist garden architect for the tour.

Another highlight is a trip to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art’s palace and gardens, where visitors will tour the grounds before enjoying the artistry of a ‘dancing horses’ equestrian ballet. The tour ends with a walking tour of Santa Cruz Quarter, with its bright flowers, white-washed buildings and winding streets.

The price is based on two adults sharing and includes seven nights' accommodation, flights, door-to-door UK airport transfers within 75 miles, ten meals and the services of a specialist RHS guide.
