The news comes shortly after the company experienced its strongest year to date in 2013, with year-on-year growth of 22%. The company is also planning a new Thames Circular Cruise and a second Thamesjet RIB, BlueLightening, following the success of BlueThunder, launched in September last year.

The Thames Circular Cruise, due to launch in April, will see a ?250,000 revamp of the Eleanor Rose vessel and offers a 45-minute round trip seven times daily from Tower Pier, with prices from ?13 for adults and ?6.50 for children.

BlueLightening will meanwhile be available for booking from March as an identical sister product to the 315-horsepower BlueThunder. The sister vessels will operate seven days weekly throughout the summer and up to four trips daily during school holidays.

Capacity will also be increased on the Riverdays lunch and afternoon teas from three days a week to five, and evening Show Boat dining from five days to seven days a week.
