Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has opened its third resort in China – Anantara Emei Resort & Spa.
The 150-room resort, which is made up of 90 guestrooms, 40 pavilions and 20 villas, is located at the foot of Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province.
Onsite facilities include an all day dining restaurant offering Chinese and European cuisine; a lobby lounge; wine cellar; meeting and event venues; swim-up bar; outdoor pool and Jacuzzi; fitness centre; spa; table tennis; tennis courts; yoga and Tai Chi classes; children’s pool; children’s club; and a games room.
For cooking enthusiasts or guests interested in taking home Sichuan recipes, the property's cooking classes – ‘Spice Spoons’ – offer an ideal opportunity to explore local food markets and participate in the food preparation process with guidance from the Sichuan cuisine Sous chef.
Visitors to the area can also hike or take the cable car up to the summit of Mount Emei and can also visit a golden Buddha statue, whose 48m height represents the 48 wishes of Amitable Buddha.
