To mark St Andrew’s Day on Friday November 30, travellers can join Rabbie’s St Andrews and the Fishing Villages of Fife one-day tour, to experience the town first-hand and learn more about its history and legends.

From Edinburgh, the tour journeys to South Queensferry before travelling through the medieval Kingdom of Fife, following the coastal route through the pretty fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife, which includes a stop in Anstruther.

The stop in St Andrews for three hours gives visitors the chance to explore the university and town – from the famous Old Course Golf Course, cathedral and castle, to university buildings, shops and the beautiful golden sandy beach.

The University of St Andrews’ is also commemorating its 600th birthday, and as part of the anniversary celebrations the university has created a calendar of special events taking place until November 2013. For details visit
