Carnival's Legend announces new on board features

The Carnival Legend has returned to service from Tampa with a variety of new innovations. These include a WaterWorks aqua park featuring the Green Thunder water attraction, as well as a Twister slide and a children?s spray park.

Also new is the tropics-inspired RedFrog Pub, a full-service sushi restaurant called Bonsai Sushi, the Cherry on Top confections and novelty shop, and two new entertainment options; Playlist Productions and Hasbro - The Game Show, all of which were added during a multi-million-dollar makeover in Freeport, The Bahamas.

Gerry Cahill, the line's president and CEO, said: ?With these enhancements we?ve made a terrific ship even better, adding an exhilarating water attraction, as well as a variety of fantastic new dining, bar and entertainment options. Carnival Legend offers an array of on-board choices and we?re looking forward to working with our travel agent partners in marketing this newly enhanced ?Fun Ship? to consumers.?

The ship will continue its current schedule of seven-day Caribbean cruises from Tampa through to August 17, and will then embark on a 13-day Panama Canal transit that ends in Long Beach, California on August 30. 

Meanwhile, the company has revamped its wedding programme, with upgrades ranging from floral arrangements, decorations and photography to new culinary selections and a greater variety of on-island ceremonies. 

Couples can say ?I do? during shipboard celebrations which now include a range of culinary options and upgraded beverage service, along with new multi-tiered wedding cake choices like chocolate ganache, coconut cream, and red velvet, all baked on board. Enhanced amenities such as a decorated wedding aisle and other traditional touches, along with upgraded Champagne flutes and other keepsake items, are also included.

For those who want to tie the knot on shore, the line offers a variety of beachside ceremonies with recently added choices such as Grand Turk and Freeport complementing Barbados, Grand Cayman, St. Thomas and the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay.

A Just You & Me (maximum of eight people) costs from ?851 and includes the ceremony, bouquet and boutonniere, tiered wedding cake with keepsake wedding topper, Champagne toast with keepsake flutes, photography services, decorated wedding aisle, pre-recorded music and an officiant. 

Packages also include the services of a personal wedding planner, as well as priority check-in and boarding for all wedding guests.
