Following the devastating floods over the weekend in Madeira, Dino Toouli sales and marketing manager of Atlantic Holidays made the following plea to the travel trade not to stop supporting tourism to the island.

“The floods were due to the unprecedented amount of rain fall over the past few days. As many will know Madeira heavily relies on tourism for its economy and the last thing we want now is for people to stop visiting the island. Today’s flights to Madeira operated as normal and all the hotels we feature have not been affected by the floods”.

To help stimulate the market, Atlantic Holidays has reduced the prices of many of its holidays in the coming weeks with savings of up to £189 per person.

The 5-star Quinta das Vistas has reduced it prices by £150 per person leading in at £619 for departures in March.

The 5-star Pestana Carlton Madeira is offering all arrivals until June 30 a free upgrade to sea view with savings of up to £186.50 for arrivals in March.

The 3-star Estrelicia Hotel is offering free half-board for all arrivals until March 22, saving up to £189 per person.
