APT sees strong peak sales for Europe despite Brexit uncertainty

APT Travel has seen a boost in bookings during peak period despite Brexit uncertainty.

The river cruise and touring specialist's 'Magnificent Europe' itinerary saw sales double since December.

Paul Melinis, managing director of the tour operator, opines Brexit uncertainty hasn't held holidaymakers back. He said: ?Like most of the industry we?ve been braced for a challenging peak period, but sales so far have surpassed our expectations. Clearly, the ambiguity around Brexit has not stopped customers from planning trips to Europe in particular. Our Luxury Magnificent Europe cruise continues to be one of the most popular routes and with every detail included, passengers have less to worry about.?

During the sale, which runs until February 28, 2019, guests can save ?2,418 per person on APT?s 15-day Magnificent Europe itinerary, that takes customers on a journey from Amsterdam to Budapest. This spectacular river cruise features the chance to enjoy a rail journey on the Grand Empress Steam train (April to September departures only), a tour and dining experience at Namedy Castle and a private classical concert featuring members of the Mozart's Boys Choir at the City Palace in Vienna. Trips run from April to December 2019 with departures from ?3,495 per person.

Other peak highlights include the option to fly free in premium economy on the Luxury Vietnam & Cambodia Highlights Tour, up to ?1,000 off the 17-day Essential Treasures of Australia tour and the chance to save up to ?600 per couple on both the Luxury and the Essential Rockies experiences, a chance to experience nature at its most raw.

For the duration of the sale, APT is also offering agents the chance to experience this route for themselves, with a chance to win a family place. All agents need to do is book guests on to an APT tour by February 28, 2019.
