The Palm Beach Hotel & Bungalows in encouraging agents to highlight Larnaca as a destination preferred by locals.

The property's general manager Antonis Papakyriakou said: “Larnaca may be less developed than the other coastal tourist resort in Cyprus but it is big on historic attractions,  has four superb museums, stretches of sandy beach including new hot spot – trendy McKenzie, an Olympic shooting range, a new winery – great shopping, nightlife, easy access for  walking, cycling, horse-riding, diving and all watersports. It is a perfect location to explore the whole island."

The resort has announced that new operators are now featuring the property in their programmes.

Papakyriakou said: “We were disappointed to loose Thomas Cook but you know how the saying goes – one door closes and two others opened in the shape of Cosmos Holidays and jet2holidays."

Prices with Cosmos lead in at £588 per person for a week’s break this month, including breakfast and flights from either Luton, Gatwick, Manchester or Birmingham.

Jet2holidays is offering similar prices for May departures from East Midlands, Manchester and Leeds-Bradford.
